Escape to our 4 bedroom cottage nestled atop a secluded hill overlooking crystal clear White Lake. Leave behind the hustle and bustle of daily life for a vacation in the forest. Hemlock Haven is ideal for people looking to unplug and unwind with family and friends, nature watch, and appreciate the beauty of the Frontenacs.
With a cherished history spanning over three decades, our family-owned cottage brims with warmth and memories, ready to be shared with you.
**Amenities**
Get your daily exercise by walking down the hill steps to our private beach (approx 150 metres), or those with accessibility needs can drive down via our private road (about a 3 min drive). There is a canoe, 2 pedal boats and 2 kayaks for you to enjoy on the water. There is no boat launch. The water is shallow near the shore and perfect for kids, but does deepen farther out. Be sure to bring your fishing rods for bass and sunfish!
We are old school - there is no wifi or cable. There are board games and a TV with DVD player and a large assortment of DVDs for rainy days and chilly nights.
There is a full (albeit tiny) bathroom inside, and an outhouse for the adventurous folk.
**Important info**
The tap water is from the lake. It is not recommended to drink but it is safe for brushing your teeth and cooking.
Pillows are included but you must bring their own towels and bedding (sleeping bag/ sheets/ pillowcases/ comforters etc.).
Guests must take all of their garbage with them at checkout. Permit tags and directions to the local landfill are included with your stay.
