This authentic timber-frame chalet has been completely renovated to retain all of its original charm of a bygone era, while updated with all the modern amenities — including a 48" Italian pro-style gas range in the kitchen. Offering an abundantly spacious layout, the Great Room is home to a wood-burning fireplace, dining table, game table, and picture windows so close to the Big Lake that its waves practically lap at your toes. The master bedroom has a king bed overlooking the water, allowing guests to fall asleep to the soothing sound of lapping waves. The 2 full bathrooms are outfitted in spa-like fashion with oversized deep-soaker tubs. With the 2nd and 3rd loft bedrooms, one outfitted with a king bed, the other with a queen — and a sleeper sofa in a private corner of the loft — Cedarwood can comfortably sleep 8 adults.

Cascade Lodge Restaurant & Pub is an easy 1-mile walk and features great food, drinks, and frequent live music. A trail leading to Cascade Falls is just 1.5 miles from Cedarwood's door. And within a 30-minute drive, everything the North Shore is known for is accessible: world-class hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking trails, skiing, galleries, restaurants, NorthHouse Folk School, and a vibrant live music scene.
