This historic log cabin has been fully restored to retain all its original charm and history of bygone days, while updated with all the modern amenities. An unusually large Main Room is home to a wood-burning fireplace, dining table, game table, and picture windows that bring the Big Lake indoors in all seasons. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and its private entrance directly onto the deck allows guests to fall asleep to the soothing sound of gently lapping waves. The bathroom is outfitted in spa-like fashion, with an oversized deep-soaker tub and heated floors. With a 2nd bedroom, also outfitted with a queen bed,, Painted Rock can comfortably sleep 4 adults.

Cascade Lodge Restaurant & Pub is an easy 1/2-mile walk and features great food, drinks, and frequent live music. A trail leading to Cascade Falls is within a mile of Painted Rock's door! And within a 30-minute drive, everything the North Shore is known for is accessible: world-class hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking trails, skiing, galleries, restaurants, NorthHouse Folk School, and a vibrant live music scene.
