Welcome to "A Red Frame"! Unique and Cozy 4 season "A" frame Cottage with direct waterfront access on Burnt River which flows into Cameron lake and the Trent Severn Waterway system. Very close proximity to the Victoria Rail Trail and a short drive to Fenelon Falls. Something for everyone! Lots of amenities that will make your stay with us comfortable and memorable.

The space
Upon arrival, you will immediately notice the beautiful chalet style red roof affectionately known as "A Red Frame" with ample parking for all guests. A spacious front porch with Adirondack chairs overlooks the front yard, perfect for your morning coffee. Feeling sporty, try out the basketball net. When you first step into A Red Frame you will be greeted by a well equipped open concept kitchen and large dining room area perfect for entertaining. Your eye will then be drawn into a large great room with huge windows and a beautiful wood burning fireplace. On the first floor there is also a 3 piece bath, laundry facilities and a queen sized bedroom.
Head up the wide staircase to the beautiful mezzanine that overlooks the great room. On this floor you will find a two piece bath and a very large queen bedroom.
Just one more flight up and you will reach the pinnacle of the A frame, the loft. One queen sized bedroom overlooks the front yard and one bedroom with two double beds overlooks the river. Extra pillows and blankets can be found in the closest at the top of the stairs. Please remember to bring your own sheets, pillow cases and towels as we don’t provide them.
Heading out of the great room, you will walk out into the large fully screened in Muskoka room, perfect for bug free dining and entertaining! Only a few steps away you will find a new 6 person hot tub with built in steps and railing for easy access and Bluetooth speakers along with a massive deck and BBQ area. The backyard is fully fenced in. There is a good sized outdoor firepit with lots of seating for everyone overlooking the river. Head down the steps to the large dock with two swim ladders. The water is clean and popular with swimmers. Life jackets are provided for most sizes and you can even test your balance with the two stand up paddle boards available. If you have a boat or PWC you may launch your boat just up the river and tie it to the dock. We are just a short 10 minute ride down into Cameron Lake.

A lot of time and effort has gone into curating the perfect space for guests at A Red Frame. While we want you to enjoy your stay to the fullest, we respectfully ask that you leave everything in the same condition as you found it.
Guest access
There is parking for 6 full size cars in front of the cottage. Please do not park on the grass or road. You will have access to the entire property. Fenelon Falls is a short drive away. Please see our Local Guide for all the activities, restaurants and attractions nearby.
Other things to note
We kindly ask for you to be respectful of our neighbours and no loud music/noise after 11 pm.
Only the amount of people booked in the reservation is allowed at the cottage. There is a front entrance camera.
No garbage or recycling items should be left in A Red Frame except for in the designated bins. The cleaning service will remove the bagged garbage and recycling, please help them by properly sorting all waste and recycling.
Complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate along with a large variety of spices are provided. We provide dish and hand towels along with comforters. Please bring your own fitted sheets, sheets, pillow covers, beach and bath towels. Each bed has a mattress cover and every pillow has a pillow cover, please do not remove these. A reasonable supply of firewood will be provided for your stay from October 1st to May 1st for the indoor fireplace. Guests will be responsible to provide their own firewood for the outdoor fire pit. Wood burning is allowed in the living room fireplace and designated fire pit only. You are responsible for fire safety. Please use a maximum of 3 logs and set the wood in the middle of the fireplace. We expect that clients will only use a reasonable amount of wood during their stay. Five logs per day is the suggested amount since the fireplace is not the primary heating source. You will be responsible to bring your own wood from May 2nd to September 30th for outdoor bonfires.
When the hot tub is not in use, please keep the cover on and locked at all times.
