Relax and enjoy this unique and peaceful property with your family. You’ll feel closer to nature as you explore the heavily treed lot with the cottage and sleeping cabin nestled close to quiet Paudash Lake. There’s 250 feet of direct waterfront and most times it’s hard to even see your neighbours!
The Cottage traces it’s roots back 75 years and while the kitchen and bath are beautifully renovated, it retains its vintage Canadian cottage vibe in many areas. There are 3 bedrooms in the main cottage and a sleeping cabin allowing you to sleep up to 11 people. There’s often a nice breeze coming off the lake, but there’s air conditioning too, if it gets too hot.
You can soak up some sun on the upper deck or head down to the tree-shaded lower deck to read a book or catch a nap right next to the lake.
For entertainment Starlink provides the high-speed WiFi and there’s a 65 inch smart TV and an awesome Bluetooth stereo in the main cottage. If you like movies and reading, The Cottage comes equipped with about 700 DVDs and many thousands of books, fiction and non-fiction to peruse at your leisure. Like any good cottage, there’s a couple of cupboards full of games and jigsaw puzzles for the family to enjoy.
Paudash Lake is a spring-fed lake, very clean and very deep with great fishing and a health population of loons and herons that can often be seen from the dock. The Cottage has great access to the water either from the dock, where you can dive in, or from a walk-in area that provides easy access. You can bring your own boat or rent one from the marina just across the lake.
For those last-minute supplies, there’s a great little store about 5 minutes away and of course there’s the town of Bancroft about 20 minutes away where you can find supermarkets, restaurant and more. Pro tip… make sure to stop at the Kawartha Dairy for Ice cream on your way into Bancroft!!
