Nestled on a hill in the middle of a tranquil 1.13-acre lot, this luxurious 1,050 sq ft A-frame was originally built in 1973 and completely remodeled in 2023 with a mid-century design keeping in mind today's conveniences! Enjoy a relaxing stay - hang out at the fire pit, curl up with a book inside or soak in the covered hot tub. Conveniently located with easy access to I-70, I-795 and just 35 minutes from downtown Baltimore & 60 minutes from Washington DC!

The Aframe is comfortably designed for 1-4 guests, and can accommodate up to 6 guests when using the living room queen sleeper sofa.
It has been completely renovated with every thought-out detail!

Guests are welcome to explore our 1.13 acre lot at your own risk. Children are to be accompanied by an adult at all times on premises. Boundary signs are posted. NOTE: There is a detached garage & tiny Aframe on the property which are NOT available for guest use. Restricted area signs are visible as a friendly reminder.
While Hickory Roots Aframe is the perfect private getaway for business or pleasure, its location makes it easy for you to get around!

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
- The hot tub will be CLOSED from Sunday, May 25th, 2025 through Friday, August 29th, 2025.
- The property is located off a moderately traveled road. You may hear trucks & motorcycles from time to time, however you will have quick access to wherever your heart desires!
- The road is visible from the rear deck in the winter months, however, the road cannot be seen during summer months. The hot tub area on the rear deck is covered for privacy. See photos.
- The main level ceiling height is 7ft. This includes foyer, desk area, queen bedroom, bathroom & laundry room.
- The bathroom rain shower can comfortably accommodate guests up to 6’4”.
- The Aframe is located at the top of a hill. In our experience, 2 wheel drive vehicles are able to get up, but if you have trouble, there is additional parking at the bottom of the hill. **4 wheel / all wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended during winter months as we are unable to plow due to the gravel.
- Age requirement of 25 for the responsible party who books.
- King bedroom is accessed by a steep spiral staircase - No children. Use at own risk.
- Check out time is 11:00am. We MAY make an exception for additional fee you need to extend, BUT this must be agreed upon ahead of time.
- Absolutely NO parties of any kind (game night, sip and paint, birthdays, etc). Violation of this will result in minimum $250 fine.
- No smoking of any kind inside the unit. Cigarette butts to be disposed in designated area on rear deck.
- There is a detached garage & a tiny Aframe on the property which are NOT available for guest use. Restricted area signs are visible as a friendly reminder.
- We ARE open to productions (photo & video), however, this must be disclosed up front and may be subject to additional fees.
- Please also note that only the number of guests listed on the reservation should be at the property unless otherwise agreed to in advance with the owner.
