The condo is only 1.5 blocks from the Ferry Landing and only 1/2 block from Lake Superior which can be seen from the large picture window in the living room. Being so close to the ferry landing means you don't have to bring your car over if you don't need to! You are surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants allowing you to walk everywhere at your leisure! There is a bakery plus a coffee shop right below so you can meander down each day for a fresh pastry or sandwich to order.
The Madeline Island Chamber of Commerce offers a wealth of information from ferry schedules to weekly events, things to do, business listings, and info on the Town Park and the State Park. The Chamber has daily updates of which businesses are open/closed/hours. PLEASE CONTACT ALL BUSINESSES PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL to make sure they can accommodate the activities that are of interest to you.
All your bed linens, fluffy bath towels and beach towels are included along with cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, toaster, slow cooker, blender, and baking pans. Kitchen items such as coffee filters, basic spices, and products such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and waste bags are provided. Just bring your suitcase and favorite toiletries! BOOKING PROCEDURES: Please check the CALENDAR FOR AVAILABILITY. My listed rate includes local taxes, credit card service fees, and cleaning fees. Your 50% deposit secures your reservation. You will receive email notices of your payments and will receive a reminder email for your final payment about 3 weeks before your check-in date. Your balance is due prior to your arrival. Once I have received the balance I will email your Confirmation Letter that includes the address, directions from the ferry landing and the Keyless Door Code, along with parking information, some general information and the web link for the ferry schedule. KEEP IN MIND THAT ALL CORRESPONDENCE COMES FROM HOME AWAY. CHECK YOUR 'JUNK MAIL' FOR EMAILS that might get sent there.
