Hidden gem, a 1200 Square foot 2-bedroom cottage near Kinmount,in Irondale, Kawartha Lakes, near Minden, in Haliburton county backs on over 2 .2 acres of woods-in Highlands East. Very quiet and private. Across the dirt road from a private lake where two lakes meet.The Lake is great to swim in. There is a dam there with a peaceful, calming whooshing sound.
The inside and outside has been redone and it has been redone in an antique way. There is a shower in the washroom, and a composting toilet in case of an emergency, however guests must use the new outhouse which has been built.
Given the cottage is fairly remote, there is no laundry mat in the area. Guests must bring their own sheets and towels. Blankets and pillows are provided.
Please note for guests there is a 25 year minimum age and it is suitable for 1-3 people. Copies of drivers licences are required when booking.
