Nestled off a gravel road beside a small lake you’ll see a large grove of trees with a beautiful old barn and lovely brick house. Located 2.5 miles off HWY 60 and about 4 miles from Mountain Lake. This quiet 9 acres has trails to explore through the trees and a county park about 1.5 miles away. If you are looking for a simple place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of life this is it. Our house is just about a century old with all the charm and character you’d expect but with modern updates.
The space:
This is listing is very similar to a duplex. One house but 2 divided living spaces. We live on one half of the house and guests have the other half of the house divided by locked doors.
As a guest you’ll enter the front door, which is your own private entrance and exit. Upon entry you’ll find a dining room and living room that is set up for guests use only.
The upstairs of our house has 3 bedrooms and a half bathroom. These areas of the house are for guests use only.
There is a full bathroom on the main floor that we do use from time to time but typically not when guests are staying with us.
Guests may have access to laundry, hot tub, full kitchen and other amenities as requested and scheduled. Some these item are located on our part of the house so may need to be scheduled ahead of time or need instructions before use.
As a guest we provide farm fresh eggs for you to prepare as you choose as well as other light breakfast items.
Guests are always welcome to take a walk through our 2 acres of gardens and enjoy fresh produce and home made jams, jellies, salsa and more.
Hammocks are provided if you’d like to relax outside and read a book under a tree or just tap a little nap.
