This carefully curated, well appointed, newly completed home is ready to be the home base for your next Crested Butte mountain get-away. Whatever the occasion, you’ll find this home clean and comfortable, light and bright, thoughtfully organized, and ready for you and yours to enjoy being under one roof (and our canopy of trees), in the mountains, together. As experienced vacation rental hosts, we designed this home for the guest experience.
The space
Main Living Areas
Windows, windows and more windows create a connection not often found between the modern lines and clean spaces of the interior and the forested lot with mountain views beyond. An amazing mix of evergreen and aspen provide privacy while simultaneously allowing the eastern and southern sun to bathe the home in natural light throughout the day. Spacious yet cozy, the great room/kitchen/dining room area is centered between the tongue and groove gabled ceiling with its laminated timber beams and the oversized fireplace and surround.
Bedrooms
The primary suite was designed as a main-floor extension of the larger spaces of the main level. Cozy and private, the textures and colors bring a feeling of serenity to your stay. The en suite bath features a soaking tub and steam shower both with direct views to the trees outside (adding new meaning to the phrase forest bathing). The upper level secondary bedroom’s faux moose taxidermy welcomes you upon entry. Clerestory windows, a queen bed and an elevated twin XL bunk combine with the vaulted ceiling to welcome you to the upper levels of the forest canopy. The third bedroom continues the forest theme with a cozy queen nestled in a corner of windows looking to the mature evergreens to the west. The bunk room features a king bed with four twin xl bunk beds, each with their own lights and usb connections and views to the aspen blanketed hillside of Snodgrass mountain beyond.
Standard in all bedrooms are comfortable mattresses, layers of cozy bedding, a dresser & closet, luggage racks, a noise machine, charging cables, a humidifier and room darkening shades.
Outdoor Spaces
We are lovers of nature, and lovers of Crested Butte. Our home offers numerous outdoor areas to enjoy the wonders of nature just steps from the interior. The south facing covered patio and the adjacent main patio area offer a multitude of seating options. Two chaises are perfect for morning coffee or an evening beverage and an outdoor dining set for 12 provides the perfect backdrop for a large al fresco meal with your party. A natural gas grill makes meal prep a breeze. The west side patio hosts the hot tub, another dining set, and a walkway to a sunken flagstone patio with adirondack chairs for lounging. Multiple hammocks and benches have been installed further out into the trees for those looking to get fully immersed in the outdoor experience.
Garage and Gear Staging and Storage
The garage is fully insulated and radiantly heated throughout and offers plenty of space for both car and gear storage throughout the seasons. A built-in bench area with cubbies and hooks sits adjacent to the wall-mounted boot dryers. A built-in water bottle filler makes topping off before heading out on your adventures easy and convenient.
The Guest Experience
As experienced hosts we know that a positive experience is more than beautiful photos and text online. Rest assured that we have the remaining details covered: A well appointed kitchen complete with spices, oils, and paper products; hair dryers, bathing supplies, and that spare toothbrush, contact lens case, or phone charger that you somehow forgot; plenty of games and puzzles to go with the Starlink internet; and numerous baby and child friendly items that can make traveling a bit less stressful.
Not for Every Group
Depending on your needs or intentions, this home is not a fit for every group based on HOA and other restrictions:
-No pets
-No campers, trailers, snowmobiles, etc. are allowed at any time
-Maximum of 2 cars in the driveway (2 fit in the garage)
-Quiet hours 10pm to 7am
-No parties; contact host for small group discussion
-No additional guests beyond those originally booked unless explicit approval provided
