There is a resort down the road with full bar and food within walking distance and ice roads in the winter to the hot walleye spots making for excellent ice fishing. A windy day cannot wreck a day of boat fishing since Bear Island is right there to fish around and block the wind. It's the location, setting, and amenities that make any retreat vacation..right ?
