Set on an escarpment overlooking Golden Lake, this cabin rental is located near Bonnechere Valley, Ontario, and can accommodate up to four adults and two children. Inside the cabin, guests will find two bedrooms, one bathroom --- no shower, a living room, and a kitchen. Each of the bedrooms is furnished with a single-over-double bunk bed set. There is also a couch and, on which guests can sleep in the living room. There is also an extra bedroom heater for winter guests. The cabin is located 700m from the parking area, shuttle provided for you and or your gear:)The bathroom contains an odorless composting toilet, and a sink with a vanity. The kitchen comes with a solar-powered refrigerator/freezer, a propane stove and oven, an island with stool seating, cookware, a sink with running cold water(except winter), a coffee percolator pot, and cutting boards. Other amenities include a propane fireplace, indoor and outdoor solar lighting, a charging station, a first-aid kit, and barbecue utensils. Blankets are available as an add-on package, or guests can bring their own. Outside, guests will find a deck, a campfire pit with log seating and a grate for cooking, a barbecue grill, a picnic table, a canoe with life jackets and paddles a 25 minute hike from the cabin, and a private trail that crosses a small wooden bridge and wraps around a spring-fed pond that provides a habitat for abundant wildlife and plant-life. With the combination of the trails, the canoe, and the cabin's secluded, woodland, and lakeside setting, guests will thus be able to reconnect to the great outdoors and enjoy a peaceful, revitalizing getaway amid the natural splendor of the surrounding escarpment, Golden Lake, Bonnechere River Valley, and Ottawa Valley, an impressive Ontario valley.Although the retreat is located in a remote area, guests will enjoy excellent cell phone coverage thanks to a cell tower that has been built on the property. The off-grid solar cabin has a cozy propane fireplace for guests to keep warm during a winter stay.Guests can purchase extra blankets or a "Couples Package" or bring their own bedding. Other supplies and equipment for enjoying the great outdoors include a first-aid kit and see-through umbrellas. Around the cabin site, guests will have access to a picnic area and a private fire pit as well as 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) of marked multi-use trails, one of which leads down to a quiet forest lake.
