Come relax and reconnect with loved ones at a lakeside retreat on the shores of Clearwater Lake. With it’s 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and over 6,500 square feet, there is plenty of space to gather with your group and still have breathing room. It’s a great house for a multi-family getaway. At just over an hour from Minneapolis, the location is easily accessible. You can’t beat the views from the the deck atop the bluff, with amazing panoramas of the lake as well as frequent sightings of majestic bald eagles gliding overhead. The new large patio with fire pit at at the shoreline is the perfect place to close out any night with a campfire. Sitting on nearly 2 acres, the property is more secluded than most others on the lake, which means that the only sounds typically heard (aside from fishermen/women sputtering by in their boats) are the sounds of the loons calling.

It’ll be hard not to say “WOW” when you walk through the front door and see the vaulted ceilings with its huge windows looking out onto the stunning lake. Although the lake will likely be the focal point of your vacation, there is plenty to do for everyone - no matter what the weather. From basketball to lawn darts in the yard, games and puzzles in the game loft, movie night on the big screen TV, to a ping pong or a pool match in the walkout basement - there is something for everyone. You will have use of our dock as well as two kayaks and a paddle board. Our side of the lake is shallow near the shoreline, which makes for a fun swimming experience for the kids. The lake is popular with fishermen and women, and is a great lake for recreational boating. There are multiple public and private boat launches on the lake. There are also several boat rental agencies in the area - including one located right on our lake. There’s even a boat-up bait shop/gas stop on the lake. Additionally, the house is located within a 5 minute drive from Annandale, a charming small town in the center of the Heart of the Lakes There are many restaurants and bars in the area, including a waterfront restaurant/bar on the far side of our lake with great views. The Swappers Meet is also a local Saturday morning favorite and an institution in the area - and just a few minutes drive away.
The home sits on a bluff, making the views truly unbeatable. Not interested in getting your cardio in climbing stairs? No problem - a mechanical hillside lift will bring you and your gear safely up and down the hill with the flip of a switch in less than a minute. It is worth noting that due to our location on a bluff, families with small children will need to be extra attentive to their children while on the bluff side to ensure their safety. Please note that the maximum occupancy is 14, per local ordinance.
FOR SUMMER STAYS (until Aug 31st)***2 day minimum stay, with check-in on Friday or Saturday. Please note that during the summer months check-in and check-out times are firm due to the time it takes to clean the house thoroughly between guests.
FOR NON-SUMMER STAYS***
2 day minimum booking. Check-ins are generally available Fri or Sat. Please be aware that the dock will be removed for the season in late Sept, and the hillside lift and grill will also be shut down for the season once snow flies. For the remainder of the winter, lake access from the property will be very limited - with stair use only at your own risk (as snow will not be regularly cleared from the stairs). Lake access for ice fishing will be via the public boat launch, which is a 5-10 minute drive from the house. Additionally, there are two other lakes with public access within a 10 minute drive of the house.
