This cozy 100 year old cottage is just steps from the lake. It is across the street from the marina/restaurant/convience store. There is a public dock for swimming, fishing and relaxing just a 2 minute walk away. If you enjoy boating, there is a public boat launch 4 minutes walk away. The cottage is 2 story - bedrooms and full bath upstairs, open concept living space and powder/laundry room downstairs. Most rooms have a view of the lake. The sunsets are fabulous and the deck is the perfect place to watch them! Sturgeon Lake is popular for fishing all year round. The area has great cycling, swimming, boating, snow mobiling, fishing, ice fishing, golf -it's a year round playground!
The 3 bedrooms have 1) one 3/4 bed (size is between a twin and a double), 2) one queen, and 3) one queen. If your window is open, you can hear the waves! Towels and linens are provided as well as shampoo. conditioner, and soap.
We have a septic system so please do not do laundry but you are welcome to use the dryer for wet things. We also have a well and ultraviolet water purification system. The water is 100% drinkable but has a salty taste due to the water softener.You can add some juice etc to water to cover the taste or bring bottled water.
The kitchen has a coffee maker, electric stove and an island for additional prep space. There is no dishwasher due to the septic system. It is fully equiped with pot and pans, microwave, dishes, cups, utensils, electric kettle,coffee maker (both drip and pod), paper towels, basic spices and condiments.
The living area has a propane fireplace for chilly days, a smart tv - you can log into your account so you don't miss your favourite shows, and lots of space to relax!
Outdoors is a deck , small fenced yard, and bbq - all with views of the lake.
This is not a Lake front property with direct access to the water - it is a few steps to the water. The public dock for lake access is 6 houses up the street.
