Conveniently located right in the town of Bala bordering Lake Muskoka and Moon River. Enjoy the small town living while still being close enough to the lake to swim and relax. The cottage can sleep up to 4 guests, A/C for your comfort, unlimited Wi-Fi, free parking for 3 cars on premises and a private backyard (not fully fenced) with Muskoka chairs to sit around the fire and enjoy smores under the stars.
Moon River Cottage provides a cozy yet rustic cottage feel. 2 bedrooms that can accommodate couples or families. The larger bedroom has a queen bed with a 32" HD TV and Firestick. The second bedroom has bunk beds (double on the bottom with a twin on the top). Both bedrooms have a closet equipped with hangers. The living room is my favourite space. Very comfortable sectional couch can sit 4 with a large bean bag chair for extra seating. 55" TV with Roku to stream all your favourite movies and shows. Games like Uno, Cards Against Humanity, Monopoly, Settlers of Catan, Headbandz, and What Do You Meme? provides a fun night for all! Full bathroom includes a toilet, shower, bathtub, and vanity. Entire space was renovated in 2021.
The cottage sits on a large corner lot with tons of greenery. In the backyard, you'll find a fire pit with 4 Muskoka chairs. In the kitchen, I have provided metal roasting sticks for roasting marshmallows.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including basic spices, oils (coconut, olive, and cooking spray), coffee, tea, sugar, and more! Electric powered stove/oven ensures even cooking. The cottage even comes equipped with a Ninji Foodi to air fry, grill, roast, bake, and dehydrate your favourite foods.
This cottage is a rare find as you're a walk away from the town amenities, while having Moon River and Lake Muskoka right at your fingertips. It's rare I pick up my car keys at the cottage until I'm heading home. The cottage is run on town services; so you can drink the tap water.
