Summary: We stayed one night as we were passing through the area. Many of the staff are brought here for the summer from other countries and some have difficulty speaking English so there was a difficult time communicating with several of them. We ate at the restaurant and were very disappointed in the quality of the service and food. While the server was very friendly she was very slow and lacked attention to detail. We ordered walleye cakes as an appetizer and they were over cooked and dry. For the main entree I ordered the Parmesan crusted walleye and it too was overcooked to the point of nearly inedible. It took over 10 minutes to get our drink order. On the positive side our desserts were served quickly after we ordered them. The toilet in our room was not working properly and the room overall needs a deep cleaning. I actually wrote “clean me” with my finger in an area that had a heavy layer of dust accumulation. The price we paid for the room and the food in the restaurant was not worth what we got so needless to say we won’t be back and we definitely will not recommend it to anyone.

Summary: Good location and probably similar or better than the other accommodations up North. No body soap is given (only bar soap), and we did not receive room service for one night (but you can probably call them for it). Infrastructure felt a bit poor, as the parking lot was packed (no parking lines did not help), there are no sidewalks in the front, and there are no street lamps driving in. Pool facilities were nice, but note that the hot tub’s capacity is 14 people.

Summary: This hotel was in such a beautiful location in the Lutsen Mtns. And though I stayed in the lower level it was very quiet. However, there was a mild mildew smell in the lower level. The room was clean and well appointed. I stayed in a room with 2 double beds and one of them was quite lumpy. Fortunately, I was traveling solo and the second bed was quite comfortable. Food at the restaurant was good and so was the service. Usually, at nicer hotels there is an iron in the room and there was none there.
